In 2017, the United Nations called the mass exodus of the Rohingya from Myanmar "the world's fastest-growing refugee crisis" and "a textbook example of ethnic cleansing." The Myanmar military tortured, raped, burned and shot Rohingya men, women and children, forcing hundreds of thousands to flee their villages. Today, nearly 1.2 million Rohingya live in the camps of Cox's Bazar, and they remain in urgent need of care.

We believe that in the world's darkest moments, light shines through when humanity rises to help those affected by tragedy, and that in lifting others, we lift ourselves. By giving monthly, you become a steady light in the darkness that has overshadowed the Rohingya's lives.

Monthly gifts are especially powerful because they let us plan ahead, keeping doctors on staff, medicine on the shelves and children fed, even as funding for the Rohingya response declines. Just $25 a month provides about 60 patients a year with a doctor's visit, testing and free medication. $42 a month provides a child at the Humanity Rises Rehma Child Life Center with a full year of education, mental health care and a daily meal.

No one should have to endure even a moment of the physical and emotional pain the Rohingya live with every day. Your monthly gift helps ease that suffering and reminds them they are not forgotten.
